ABOUT ARLBERG HOUSE
Welcome to Arlberg House, with roots dating back to a ski club in 1958, your home away from home awaits.
Ideally located at the top of Summit Road in the village of Mt Buller Ski Resort, with ski-in/ ski-out accessibility to 2 prominent ski runs, Bourke Street and Shakey Knees, there really is no other place to have the perfect ski holiday. Featuring 45 rooms, including a mix of 1,2, and bedroom apartments, studio apartments and deluxe hotel rooms, we are sure to have something to suit any sized group. With in-house ski hire also on site, it’s all too convenient to have you slide on out the door for the fun that awaits.
Arlberg House boasts 4 hospitality spaces to satiate any part of your day. Woody’s Café is there for your caffeine and pastry fix to fuel your day on the slopes. The Wood Room restaurant offers contemporary lunch and dinner options with an alpine considered service. Our rooftop, Le Roof awaits to sip and marvel at the mountainscape beyond and watch the high energy of Bourke Street pass on by. The Front Bar is your everything bar, perfect for the après-ski tipple, evening cocktails or anytime beers.

Yes, we most certainly do! Our ski hire is conveniently located on the first floor, inside Arlberg House.
We also offer all in-house guests 10% off rentals. -
From Melbourne, Mansfield or any other place in Victoria, Mansfield Mt Buller Bus Lines is our preferred provider. You can contact them on www.mmbl.com.au.

Both at Woody’s, our café and The Wood Room, our dining room, there are many options that can cater to a range of dietary requirements such as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. Please view our current menus on our website.

All lift passes, including seasonal and/or daily can be purchased from the Mt Buller Website.
Ski/ Snowboard lessons can also be booked via the Mt Buller Website.

Check in is at 3pm, and check out is at 10:00am daily. We do provide luggage storage to guests, should you arrive prior to check in or stay post check out.

We highly recommend booking a table to ensure that you can dine at your preferred time. Often, in peak periods we can book out quite quickly. We only take reservations for dinner service, with lunch being walk-in only.

Overnight guests:
Guests with luggage arriving at the overnight carparks will need to book a Rideshare service in advance via the Mt Buller website or the Mt Buller transportation app. This acts like a taxi service to transport your group to Arlberg House.
Should you be dropped at Celia’s toboggan park or the village square on a bus, you will need to book the Rideshare service to reach the hotel which can be achieved via the Mt Buller website or transportation app.
Day visitors:
Arlberg House is located at the top of Summit Road in the Mt Buller village. Day visitors can walk, catch the free village shuttle or catch the Bourke Street chairlift to arrive at our warm establishment.

The ski school is located in the village, on Breathtaker Road, approximately halfway up the Bourke Street run. It is approximately 400m down the hill from Arlberg House, and easily accessible by foot, skiing or the free village shuttle.

The entire Arlberg House is a fully licensed venue with 4 different hospitality spaces to cater to all of your needs. We have the Front Bar and Le roof (our rooftop bar) serving all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as snacks. Our dining room, The Wood Room serves lunch and dinner daily. Woody’s, our cafe serves coffee, treats and light meals.

Arlberg House welcomes all ages. Our hotel has single beds and bunks that can be considered child friendly. We also offer a children’s menu in the dining room and cater to all children sizes in the ski hire.

For winter 2024, a continental breakfast is offered complimentary with any Alpine and Fernery room booking. Other guests are welcome to pay extra for this breakfast or find other options in Woody’s.

Guest rooms will be serviced daily by our housekeeping team unless the guest declines the option.

We are happy to store guest luggage in our luggage storage facility.

There is a free village shuttle service which will transfer you and your snow equipment around the village (no luggage permitted)

There are many things to do at Mt Buller including dining at the various cafes and restaurants. There is a Mt Buller gym, which offers massages and physiotherapy, sport courts and a trampoline area, all found at the Alpine Centre. Breathtaker Hotel and Spa offers a complete day spa with pools, treatments and saunas available. Mt Buller cinema offers new movies weekly with multiple viewings everyday. Other activities include the Mt Buller museum, snow shoeing, hiking trails and many other seasonal events. Further information can be found on the Mt Buller Website.

End of season is difficult to predict in advance as it really is determined by the snow fall and coverage and changes slightly each year. Generally speaking, the end of season is the first week of October however, the Mt Buller Website is able to provide more accurate information on this.
